STARRING UNDEFEATED WORLD-RANKED MEXICAN CONTENDER, JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR.
Riviera Nayarit, Mexico (June 30, 2009) -Julio César Chávez Jr., an undefeated world-ranked contender will return to the ring on Saturday, July 25 in “Latin Fury X”, a world championship card. The fight will be take place in Mexico’s newest travel hot spot, Riviera Nayarit; and will also be televised live on Pay-Per view throughout the United States. “We are so pleased to host this fight and welcome Julio César Chávez Jr., a native Mexican championship boxer, to Riviera Nayarit,” said Marc Murphy, director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We want our visitors to focus on the fun of our beautiful Pacific beach region, and this fight certainly promises to be exciting and entertaining.”
Local authorities, such as the state’s tourism secretary Edwin Hernandez and the state’s sports director Sara Bertha Valdez, anticipate that this event will attract people from all over the world, in person and on pay-per-view and feel that it portrays Riviera Nayarit as a safe, attractive and invigorating place to vacation.

Chávez Jr. carries on the proud boxing tradition of his father who was the WBC World Junior Lightweight Champion and has been boxing since he was 17 years of age.
