Riviera Nayarit presented its touristic offerings in Las Vegas
• Riviera Nayarit achieved an important exposure to over 2,000 travel agents who specialize in high-end travel markets at the Travel Luxury Expo
• Together with the CPTM, our destination made a joint presentation of the high-end products offered by Mexico’s Pacific Treasure
At the 2010 Luxury Travel Expo, over 2,000 travel agents associated with companies that service high-end tourism like Virtuoso, American Express, Ensemble Travel Group, Signature Travel Network and Carlson Wagonlit were informed on the advantages that Riviera Nayarit offers for this market segment.
The largest Travel Show for the high-end touristic industry market took place in Riviera Nayarit on December 7 – 9, with the participation of some of the most reputed hotels in our destination: Grand Velas, Grand Mayan, Taheima, and Villa la Estancia, who shared Mexico’s Pavilion at the fair with the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Dreams Villamagna, Riu, St. Regis and Vallarta Palace were promoted in separate areas provided by their corresponding hotel chains.

The Luxury Travel Expo is the most important Trade Show for high-end touristic products. It’s so relevant that experts call it the “Who’s who in Luxury Travel”. This year’s edition included a new concept called the Luxury Travel Exchange, which allowed furthering business relations through one-on-one sessions.
Riviera Nayarit also made a direct presentation to approximately 50 prequalified travel agents. In a joint effort with the Mexican Council for the Promotion of Tourism (CPTM), who used this opportunity to praise our country, the CVB made a 20-minute presentation of the advantages of vacationing in our destination.
Three world-class marinas, the second Mexican destination in terms of Five Diamond Hotels, as well as sophisticated boutique hotels, exclusive residential developments, six golf courses designed by industry celebrities and high-end services complete the touristic offerings for this market segment at Riviera Nayarit.
The intense promotional work made by the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit follows the lead of Nayarit Governor Ney Manuel Gonzalez Sanchez, who has placed tourism – particularly high-end tourism with a low environmental impact – as one of the key economic activities to further the economy of our state.
These efforts are strengthened by the strategies carried out jointly with the CPTM. At the Luxury Travel Expo, CPTM’s Deputy Director in Los Angeles, Jorge Gamboa Patron provided invaluable support to the promotion of our destination.
