Riviera Nayarit says “Expo! Expo!”

This tourist destination attended the annual meeting of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, which brings together more than a thousand professionals in the organization of exhibitions and prestigious artistic performances

Riviera Nayarit attended the Expo! Expo! 2010 fair, which took place in New Orleans on December 7 – 9 and introduced the touristic offerings of our destination to over 1,000 professionals who specialize in the organization of large events.

This yearly event organized by the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) has been taking place since 1992. Its current 18th edition offered conferences and educational sessions focusing on the topic: “Unmasking innovation”.

The IAEE was founded in 1928 to look after the interests of organizers of tradeshows, exhibitions, events and commercial presentations, and today is the leading organization in this industry, with over 8,500 professional registered members.

At this annual meeting, Riviera Nayarit presented its touristic offerings, which include luxury infrastructure, six golf courses, three world-class marinas, fine dining, and hotel facilities adequate for conferences, conventions and exhibitions. But above all, highlighted the unique natural settings that give this destination the nickname of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.

During Expo! Expo! 2010, Riviera Nayarit took the opportunity to generate contacts with organizers and worked to attract major conventions for 2011, with the support of the Mexican Council for the Promotion of Tourism (CPTM), and the Mexican Association of Professionals in Fairs, Exhibitions, and Conventions (AMPROFEC), demonstrating that joint work is the base for a successful promotion of our destination.

The intense promotional work carried out by the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit follows the vision of Nayarit Governor, Ney Manuel Gonzalez Sanchez, who has placed tourism, particularly one that can offer a high quality and a low environmental impact, as a key economic activity to promote the advancement of the State.
